24 Apr How to choose glasses to suit your face shape
With so many styles available it can be a challenge to know which new spectacles will suit you best. To make it easier for you to choose glasses, we’re taking a look at which frames suit your face shape.
Glasses to suit a Square face
Your face shape is square if the sides of your face appear straight and in proportion with the width of your forehead and your jawline is fairly angular, Cameron Diaz is an example of someone with a square-shaped face.
Choose round or oval glasses for balance and you can get away with dark or bold coloured frames such as those from Chanel or Tom Davies.
Glasses to suit a Heart-shaped face
A heart-shaped face features a broad forehead that extends down to a narrower chin, take a look at Reese Witherspoon for a famous example of this face shape.
You should choose an oval or round frame in a light colour, or even a rimless style such as Silhouette to balance the shape your face with new spectacles.
Glasses to suit an Oval face
If your face is oval, you will have a lightly curved jawline that is slightly narrower than your forehead and high, angular cheekbones similar to Beyoncé.
This is the most versatile face shape, so you can choose glasses that are any style or shape, but avoid oversized frames as they can look too large for your features.
Glasses to suit a Round face
Your face shape is round if you have full cheeks, a wide forehead and a rounded chin, celebrities such as Emma Stone and Jennifer Lawrence are great examples of this face shape.
A strong, angular frame or square frame will provide a contrast to your features and look great on a round face, take a look at Gucci for some nice square frames.
